From Indianapolis, take US 37 South for about 40 miles. Take the first Bloomington exit, College Ave. Travel several miles （College Ave. will become Walnut St.） into and through town until you get to Hillside Ave. where you will go left. About a mile down the road is Olive Street on your right. It looks like an alley but it is marked.Turn right and travel about 2 blocks. Sanshinji will be on your right.

:Brief History:
Sanshinji, in Bloomington, Indiana, is the fulcrum for Sanshin practitioners spread around the country. The land was purchased in early 2001, and a home has been built for the Okumura Shohaku family. At this time, the zendo is a part of this structure, but two more buildings are planned: a residential space for practitioners and a central temple.
